DMA recently carried out a complete refurbishment for Solid State Supplies Ltd. on behalf of the landlord’s managing agents, Hamdon Gate Developments, at their new prestigious site in Redditch, comprising of 1050 m² of warehouse and 250 m² of office space.
Following a series of meetings with both the managing agent and the incoming tenant to establish their requirements for additional office space, DMA was appointed to carry out the complete works and to manage the site under the CDM (Construction Design and Maintenance) Regulations.
The project started with the removal of the existing compartment wall surrounding the first floor offices and the extension of the mezzanine area. Once the mezzanine floor extension was constructed, the fire rated compartment wall was re-built to surround the new ground and first floor areas. Internal partitions and suspended ceilings were added, increasing the office space from 250 m² to 810 m². Once the office structure was built, DMA carried out all the electrical installation including lighting, power and data trunking, together with power and CAT 5 outlets.
To complete the project, air conditioning was installed; flooring and other warehouse and office ancillary equipment were added. Finally, all the original offices were redecorated to match the new areas……
